Silvers or Coho Salmon are one of the most fun fish we have to offer here AKSA. They run in huge quantities, readily take light tackle or flies, and are delicious table fare. The Nushagak has returns of up to 400,000 Silvers some years. Compared to Kings we use smaller gear and are generally casting from the boat using spinners, jigs, and flies. It’s not unheard of to hook 50 fish a day. Silvers are very aggressive which allows anglers with less experience to learn a lot in just a few days time. We especially like this fishery for kids because the active nature of cast and retrieve keeps them engaged all day. We offer the same package for silvers as we do for Kings meaning 4 days of fishing and all inclusive. As an added bonus we are one of the few lodges that remain open on the Nushagak in August so you wont see anyone but our guides on the water.
