Alaska’s Largest King Salmon Run at Alaska’s Finest Bush Camp
As we roll into February it’s time to start thinking about your getaway to the Nushagak River for world-class King Salmon fishing. While the rest of Alaska struggles, the home of the largest King run in Alaska keeps providing anglers with Salmon fishing of yesteryear. We can’t wait for the upcoming Salmon season and have been hard at work making sure that Alaska King Salmon Adventures (AKSA) continues to meet and exceed our guests’ expectations.According to Alaska Fish and Wildlife, this year’s Nushagak River King Salmon run should be similar to last year. That’s great news for our 2014 guests as the 2013 run on the Nushagak was the best in Alaska!
2014 Fishing Dates
We’ve added additional dates for this year’s season to offer even more flexibility and opportunity for people looking to experience the best King Salmon fishing in Alaska: June 17-21, June 21-25, June 25-29, June 29-July 3, July 3-7, July 7-11, July 11-15 and July 15-19. At AKSA, we’re here to make your trip as seamless as possible. Let us know what we can do to help with your 2014 plans to visit Alaska King Salmon Adventures on the Nushagak River.
New Amenities for 2014
We tirelessly strive to improve the finest remote bush camp in Alaska and pride ourselves with the amenities we’re able to provide in the middle of the Alaskan Bush.
Wireless Internet
The reality is that not everyone can afford to totally unplug from life and that’s why wifi internet has been a huge addition to our remote bush camp. Logon and check email, the latest news, and even Skype with family members!
Recreation Room
If you didn’t already know, AKSA owns the property where the lodge and camp sit. Because of this, we’ve added some permanent structures to keep upping the ante on comfort. This past season a large recreation room was added. Equipped with a woodstove, games, and plenty of room to kick back, the rec room is a great place to hang out after a day of catching King after King!
New Additions for the Fleet
For 2014, we are purchasing all new Yamaha Motors for our boats. We are also adding another 20-foot Alumaweld Flatbottom to our fleet. There are no “Jon Boats” in our fishing fleet and because of this, you’re simply not going to find nicer fishing boats on the Nushagak!
